City of Flagstaff, Rio de Flag Flood Control Project
Alongside the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, SWI has been involved in the Rio de Flag Flood Control Project since 2004. SWI has identified the necessary property rights and ensured the project alignment was clear of all utility conflicts prior to the construction of new drainage facilities. Services also included preparation of complete plans, specifications and cost estimates for the utility relocation effort, and for the acquisition of property rights for construction of the $54 million Rio de Flag Flood Control project. In February 2020 the city of Flagstaff received notice that $52 million was included in the Army Corps of Engineer’s FY 2020 work plan for the Rio de Flag Flood Control Project.
