Wastewater Masterplan Update - City of Sedona

SWI in association with Wilson & Company provided an update to the City of Sedona's Wastewater Master Plan. The plan was to be accomplished in three phases in nearly 40 areas of the city. Many challenges presented themselves to the project team in programming new sewer facilities for rapidly growing areas, as well as connecting older neighborhoods to pump and lift stations. The hilly terrain and sensitive environment posed unique challenges for locating pipeline and other facilities. The study addressed a full range of issues and facilities, including gravity sewers, lift stations, grinder pumps and grinder lift stations, existing septic tanks and leach fields, neighborhood pump stations, sewer mains, location and type of connections to existing sewer lines, collections systems, wastewater treatment plant, easements where there are no existing city streets, and pressure sewers.

This project was completed in 2000.
