SWI provided services for comprehensive project development for the installation of approximately 9000 l.f. of water transmission main with the existing Butler Avenue Right-of-Way. The project is located in southeast Flagstaff along a two-mile stretch of East Butler Avenue. SWI was responsible for coordination with Utility Companies and Flagstaff Public Schools to minimize potential disruptions. Tasks also included resolution of conflicts, assembly of plans, specifications and estimates, bid phase, and construction management services. SWI addressed key complex issues which included analyzing existing information, performing potholing to set route alignments that minimized potential utility conflicts, motivating franchise utilities to respond in a timely and comprehensive manner, and coordinating with the City of Flagstaff Utilities Department to ensure the design met their performance objectives and equipment / appurtenance preferences.
