SWI provides training, education, and other GIS services to the Sedona Fire District (SFD) under an On-Call contract. Tasks have included finalizing the Map Book for deployment and data maintenance as they become e911 phase 2 compliant. Recently, this map book format was developed for the rest of the Verde Valley to share and use common maps. Once the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) datasets were built for the Verde Valley (SFD is the primary) to provide e911 services, there was also a need for revised maps. Using ArcGIS and a Map Book software plugin, all the data created for the CAD system could be used in the maps. Extra data layers were built to further enhance the map book.
