In Flagstaff, SWI was contracted to design multi-family housing on approximately 49 acres. To highlight the problems with the restrictions and desired use for the property a 3D Model was needed to help visualize the proposed development.The City of Flagstaff has a long list of specifications within their Land Development Code to protect the vegetation and hillsides. With a condominium project a 3D GIS Model was built to show planned tree conservation, driveways, and buildings to help gain approval from the City.

In Cottonwood, SWI was contracted to design a subdivision and grading of hilly terrain. To properly exhibit the plans for the subdivision a method other than development plans showing contours was needed. Using existing topography, proposed grading contours, proposed road layout, and existing property boundaries, a 3D Model was created to display the development in a series of public meetings to gain approval. The development is proceeding smoothly.

These projects were completed in 2004-2006.
