Announcement from SWI about Frank Protiva

Dear Clients, Colleagues and Friends,

It is with heavy hearts that Shephard-Wesnitzer, Inc reports the loss of one of our Principals, Frank Protiva on Friday, January 23rd.  Frank’s plane went down while he and an associate, Tom Moody with Natural Channel Design, Inc., were en-route to Yuma, Arizona.  It is believed that loss of engine power resulted in the accident which occurred in rugged terrain approximately 15 miles south of Flagstaff.

Frank was an integral part of SWI as a Vice President, friend, mentor and leader.  Frank’s zest for life was infectious to all he met.  He will be missed for his love of life and unending energy.  We are confident that Frank positively influenced the lives of those of you who knew him personally, as he did ours.

Frank leaves behind his wife Barbara, three step children and many, many friends across the country.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Frank on Friday, January 30th at 11:00am at the Wiseman Aviation Hangar located at the Pulliam Airport in Flagstaff, Arizona.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to:

Utah Back Country Pilots Association.Skypark Airport
1887 South Redwood Rd. #16
Woods Cross, UT 84087
V-Mailbox: 801-583-0342.

SWI will continue our service to all of you.  For those of you who worked with Frank directly, we will make arrangements for succession.
