Drainage Engineer

SWI is looking to hire a Drainage Civil Engineer to join our Sedona and Cottonwood team.

Responsibilities:

Perform general civil engineering on both private and public sector projects including site development, commercial development, and subdivisions. The ideal candidate will have experience in drainage; water and sewer design; and construction management. Additional responsibilities include monitoring each project’s budget, schedule, and maintaining positive communication with each client.

Education, Software, and Professional Licensing Requirements:

Five to 10 years of experience, a BS in Civil Engineering, licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona, and proficient experience using AutoCAD Civil 3-D, Bentley Software, Hydrology and Hydraulic Software.

Water and Wastewater Engineer

SWI is looking to hire a Water and Wastewater Civil Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the project management of water and wastewater engineering projects. Daily responsibilities include performing research, design, cost estimating, report preparation, and assisting with SWI’s growth of the water and wastewater business sector. Additional responsibilities include mentoring two or three Civil Designers with water and wastewater design and maintaining positive communication with each client.

Executive Administrative Assistant

Job Description

Shephard-Wesnitzer, Inc. is looking for Executive Administrative Assistant to join the Flagstaff offices and take on the critical role of supporting our civil engineering team and providing personalized secretarial and administrative support in a professional and timely manner. The Administrator will work with the Managers and Engineers one-on-one and as a team on a variety of matters. The candidate must be flexible to meet the demands of our growing organization.

Executive Administrative Assistant should be organized, have superb research skills and must be an exceptional communicator with a keen interest in providing reliable and accurate support to executives and management while working with confidential information.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of SWI’s Flagstaff office with special support of the office principal
  • Run the front office, handling visitors, routing callers, and answering questions and requests. Communication may include internal and external communications, generating official correspondence, as well as emailing correspondence to internal and external recipients
  • Manage the timely communication of information across the division using available tools
  • Proactive office calendar management for the office principal utilizing Microsoft Outlook including;
  • Scheduling, coordination and preparation of materials for company marketing and business meetings
  • Creation of reports and high quality presentations utilizing Excel and PowerPoint
  • Drafting, editing and proof-reading memos and written correspondence
  • Other administrative projects as needed; larger group initiatives, including moves, space planning, etc.
  • Support project prospecting efforts as part of the marketing team
  • Strong knowledge of databases and tracking systems
  • Document management: Store, organize, retrieve, and share documents
  • Operate and maintain office equipment
  • Professionally greet and receive guests and clients
  • Ensure efficient and effective administrative information and assistance

Education and Experience Desired

  • Two years of work experience in an administrative, project management, or customer service role, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on business or public administration strongly preferred

Skills and Knowledge

  • Business financial experience is strongly preferred
  • Excellent writing and grammatical skills (i.e. for generating and editing memos)
  • Polished and professional with the maturity to work independently and consistently, even with frequent interruptions
  • Desire to work as a member of the executive management team and anticipate needs of the division
  • Team player: able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues with a desire to work as a member of the executive management team
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and possess strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with strong sense of ownership and involvement
  • Strong ability to multi-task, react and think quickly
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience with the Adobe Suite is a plus

Marketing Coordinator

Job Summary

Shephard-Wesnitzer, Inc. (SWI) was established in 1990 and is a leading engineering and surveying firm based in northern Arizona. We have offices in four Arizona communities; Sedona, Prescott, Cottonwood, and Flagstaff. At SWI we take pride in providing comprehensive Civil Engineering and Surveying Services to our local communities. SWI creates unique civil engineering solutions for site planning, grading, drainage and infrastructure development. We are experienced with the rugged terrain of northern Arizona, ensuring our designs will work with the natural topography to reduce unnecessary land disturbance and minimize construction cost. SWI’s success can be attributed to our ability to pair qualified technical expertise with local communities, restrictive budgets and varying terrain and environmental challenges. SWI’s municipal work has encompassed the entire infrastructure range from water, sewer and roadway projects to municipal building facilities, airports, and parks.

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to work for our company in our Flagstaff office.

Responsibilities and Duties

Assisting in the creation of marketing materials, ordering branded materials, maintaining social media profiles/website, attending marketing/project manager meetings and researching potential bids for SWI.

Qualifications and Skills

A college degree in a related field, work experience in the marketing field, experience using Adobe InDesign/Illustrator, and ability to work full time in Flagstaff.

Experience in the engineering field is a plus.
